Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes has said that he wants to win every trophy up for grabs with Manchester United. The 25-year-old made the move to the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon d during the January transfer window and he has since made a quick impression with three goals and four assists from nine appearances.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Fernandes was posed with a number of questions from the fans and one of them asked him whether he would target winning the Premier League and Champions League next term. In response, he said that he would prefer to win the four trophies up for grabs including the League Cup and FA Cup, he told: “Two targets, no! Four. I want four, because we have league, Champions League, Carabao and FA Cup.
“I want to win everything. I’m hungry to win everything. I told this before in some interviews. I came to Manchester to win, to win titles, league, Champions League, everything. We know the potential Manchester have, because we are a young team, young players, but we’ve a lot of quality. Doesn’t matter if we’re young and the others have more experience than us because we have also experienced players who can help the youngest.”
United are aiming to make at least three signings during the summer transfer window but prior to that, the focus should lie on making a strong end to the campaign. The coronavirus pandemic has brought the season to a halt but there should be a restart in the coming months with a number of teams concerned with the financial losses in case the campaign is brought to an abrupt end.
